It's the time of year when the weather starts to turn cooler and begins to affect the one place that you wouldn't think it would, and that's the bowling alley. Tonight is a prime example of it. Usually, the lanes are just fine with the wooden approaches just right, but today, because of the cooler temps and the rain that has fallen in the area, the humidity caused some issues on the approaches, as well as on the lanes themselves. The first sign came in the 2nd game when everyone started to stick on the approaches. Then the lanes began to dry up extremely fast to the point that I had to move my body 10 boards to the left to compensate. This isn't that big of a deal to me, but a ton of people had issues with the "sticky" approaches. It's just one of those things that has to be dealt with on wooden surfaces. I also need a new ball, which I hope to be getting soon. I'm not sure on exactly which ball I will be getting, but I do know that it'll be a Storm. By the time that I get it though, it'll be winter time. We'll just see how things pan out until then.
