So, for those of you who don't know, I have been filming wrestling matches in Ripley, Tennessee for an organization called Elite Wrestling Entertainment, and I must say that it's pretty fun. Being right in the action, getting as close as I can get without being part of the match is pretty darn cool. One of my friends told me about it, and told me that he was asked to be the commissioner for a while. He asked me to go, and since then, I've only missed one week, and will miss my 2nd next week when I go to Baton Rouge for a bowling tournament.
These guys put themselves through quite a bit, and I didn't realize how much until I got to see it live. I've been a fan of WWE for quite a while, but have never gotten to see a live event. After being a part of this organization, I'm DYING to go to one now. Most people think that it's just a bunch of sweaty men feeling on each other, but it's entertainment. Another good point of this organization is the fact that I've had plenty of practice in website building and video editing. I put together the site myself, and I shoot and edit my own video. They've given me a great chance to show off my skills how I want. And as icing on the cake, I've gotten so many compliments from wrestlers, as well as fans, on the work that I've done. I've searched the internet, and have found that no other wrestling organization in the Mid-South does what we do. We are the only wrestling organization in the Mid-South to record every match, and make them available on the internet in their full length. I'm pretty proud of that if I do say so myself.
So basically, what I'm trying to say here is that I really enjoy my "not" job at EWE. If I had the ability to one day, I wouldn't mind doing this sort of thing for the WWE one of these days. Hey, you never know, right?
