On Friday, June 12th 2009, a massive thunderstorm came through the Mid-South bringing 70 to 80 MPH winds, and in a couple of areas, brief tornadoes. One of the areas that was hit is exactly two blocks away from me. A confirmed EF-1 tornado with winds around 105 MPH touched down in my neighborhood, with an EF-2 tornado dropped in Olive Branch, Mississippi. The video to the left is a story done by FOX13 News and Scott Madaus on the storm damage between here and Olive Branch, MS. I was the first person interviewed in the video.
